Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Program
The purpose of the West Thurston Regional Fire Authority’s Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Program is to reduce the incidents of willful and/or malicious fires set by minors.
Program Scope
The Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Program is available to all citizens of Thurston County. The program helps juveniles and their families understand the dangers of fire, effective methods of fire prevention, fire safety and consequences of firesetting. Benefits of our programs will not only result in the reduction of firesetting situations but will ultimately improve the overall safety and quality of life for children and families in our community.
How do I get my child into this program?
- A volunteer referral where a parent or adult guardian realizes a problem exists and refers the child for assistance.
- An agency referral (Fire Marshal’s office, DNR, fire departments, courts, etc.)
For more information contact West Thurston Regional Fire Authority Station #1-2 at (360) 352-1614.
